Liability Disclaimer
Please read carefully before using listings on Nearby Flyer.
You are the pilot in command
Whether you are renting an aircraft, taking instruction, or having maintenance performed, you (and the certificated airman acting as PIC) are solely responsible for confirming:
- The instructor's certificates, ratings, endorsements, and currency directly with the FAA registry.
- The aircraft's airworthiness, current annual / 100-hour / AD compliance, and insurance coverage.
- The maintenance shop's certifications and IA availability for any inspection that requires one.
- That a flight can be conducted safely and legally under current FARs and weather conditions.
No verification of listings
Listings are user-submitted. Unless a listing is explicitly labeled "Verified," we have made no attempt to confirm any claim made in it. Even verified listings can become out of date between updates.
No aviation advice
Nothing on Nearby Flyer — including airport summaries, fuel prices, METAR information, or descriptions of services — constitutes flight planning, weather briefing, legal advice, or an airworthiness determination. Use authoritative sources (the FAA, an approved weather service, a current A&P/IA) for go/no-go decisions.
Assumption of risk
Aviation involves inherent risk of serious injury or death. By using a service you find through Nearby Flyer, you agree that Nearby Flyer is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, claim, or expense arising from that service.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nearby Flyer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding listings and the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
